This race sucked. Lots of logging roads and lots of roots/rocks. I suppose it helped my training though.
My first race that was an actual marathon… I had heard great things about this race and my girlfriend and I used it as an excuse to get away to Whidbey island for the weekend. The race was tough but we both had a blast.
This was really the only race of the year I went into hoping to run (somewhat) fast and get a big course PR.
