Work History
Valmet Automation, Inc.
Oct. 2018 – Present
Product Manager – Boiler Diagnostics Software – Olympia, WA
- Valmet is a Finnish company and a developer and supplier of technologies, automation systems and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries.
- As Product Manager, I oversee and directly contribute to the product roadmap, development, marketing, and product support of our infrared imaging and acoustic pyrometer software suites.
- Successfully released 5 new applications using an agile approach without going over-budget or past the scheduled release date.
- I frequently travel (domestic and international) to give technical sales presentations and support customer installations, demonstrations, and issues.
- I work closely with external vendors and other product managers within Valmet to ensure our products are running on the hardware most suited for our application while maintaining a high gross margin.
Enertechnix Process Sensors, Inc
June 2013 – Oct. 2018
Software Engineer – Olympia, WA
- Enertechnix was a developer and supplier of infrared imaging and acoustic gas temperature measurement systems for the pulp, paper and energy industries.
- As a Software Engineer, I lead development and QA on dozens of projects using an Agile approach with LabVIEW for industrial applications with a core focus on image processing and data analysis.
- I held primary IT responsibilities where I implemented and maintained a PBX phone system, company file server, company website, and mesh wireless network.
Enertechnix Process Sensors, Inc
Oct. 2009 – June 2013
Electronics Assembly Technician – Olympia, WA
- As an Electronics Assembly Technician, I assembled and tested industrial grade infrared imaging systems and pneumatic gas temperature measurement tools
- I served as a backup Field Service Engineer, which required domestic and international travel and project management.
